Dear Frankie

British movies which I have watched and liked so far are mostly costume dramas; but once in a while I watch&like British movies depicting modern life as well. Dear Frankie is one of those good, entertaining movies.. The story is simple:

Lizzie, a single mother, has been responding to her son's letters in the guise of his father.. Then, when it comes to a point in which her son is expecting to meet his dad, she hires a stranger to pose as his dad.

This movie is not one of those big productions with larger than life characters and big sets; it is a small movie with a simple story to tell. But once you start watching, the movie holds your attention, you want to see what happens to the characters.. you care for the story itself..

This one gets an 8/10 from me..
